- So I open my Win Tech Journal this month, see an ad for C++
- Development Suite, and say to myself "WOW! Only $349! I'm gonna buy
- it." So I email Borland and get one of their free price checks.
- Well, the LOWEST price I got (Borland's) was $399. Back to the ad.
- Nope, nothing about the $349 being the Upgrade Price -- in fact, above
- the $349 it mentions a "$50 rebate for Borland C++ users".
-
- Well, I'm pissed off. An extra $50 certainly isn't going to break me,
- but I'm fully annoyed at the price change from the mag quote -- this
- is the first time I've even see actual retail prices even the SAME as
- ad prices, let alone HIGHER. Can anyone fill me in as to the reason
- for this change?
